UX UI Designer

SUMMARY 

This position focuses primarily on creating a cohesive and recognisable brand or visual identity for our company and our products. 

This position will be responsible for leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams from design concept to launch. You should have a strong command of UI/UX design principles and practices, with a portfolio to prove it.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPonSIBILITIESCreate engaging and thoughtful design solutions for a broad range of user experiences for internal initiatives. Create projects including websites (mobile /responsive), product user interfaces, new digital initiatives (like redesigning our websites), and all points in-between like wireframes, flows, mockups, and visual prototypes.Generate clear ideas and concepts in tandem with peers and stakeholders.Lead cross-discipline collaboration as it relates to brand experience (Sales, Content, Product, etc.).Understand and apply marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience.Cooperate with the rest of the eCommerce team across different types of media.Facilitate iterative and inclusive design process end-to-end within deadlines.Effectively present ideas to management and team members.Stay on top of brand, design, media and conversion best practices.Cost-efficient implementation of plans and programs

Project Management:

Project management responsibilities include planning, evaluating, organizing, and integrating projectsAssist marketing team as needed in overseeing projects and project managementWork with designers, project managers, copywriters, and marketing managers to provide accurate content to support interactive workflow

QUALIFICATIONS

5 years of senior design experience Deep knowledge and expertise in all layout, typography, illustration, image making, digital and event/brand experience production.A strong mentor, with a passion for supporting team growth, as well as improvement and developmentExcellent communication skills with the capability to throw in creative ideas,Ability to conceptualise, strategy, research, and apply solutions in a fast-paced, interactive environment.Proven experience designing strategic omni-channel approachMust be fluent in branding, marketing and design principles and best practices.Hands-on experience with logo design, typography, color, web layout design, print production, photography, and more.Proficient use of InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.Demonstrable design thinking and execution skills with a strong portfolio.Incorporate feedback and take/give direction well.Team player with strong communication and presentation skillsPHYSICAL DEMANDSGood health, eyesight and hearing are required.This position will require some work to be rendered on extended hours and in some cases, on graveyard shift for the completion of a project or to meet with clients and project stakeholders;

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The duties and responsibilities of the position are essentially performed in a normal office environment. This position does not require the employee to perform duties that will necessitate climbing/crawling or handling light construction equipment.
