The client is looking for a Bookkeeper that will provide end-to-end general accounting support and will be an asset to the Accounting team.

Job Summary

The Bookkeeper is responsible for end-to-end general accounting tasks and in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial reports. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of Australian bookkeeping and will be an asset to the Accounting team. Duties will include but not limited to keeping and managing records of financial transactions for group companies and general clerical with project-based work.

Job Description:

Bookkeeping procedures include but not limited accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, processing of payroll, and month-end reconciliations.Responsible for preparing BAS, IAS, bookkeeping procedures, and general administrative/ad hoc tasksDeliver operating efficiencies through Xero, XPM, and other relevant accounting software systemsSend out client bank feed data reports to the client as instructed every monthAssist with the preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS)Assist with the preparation of Installment Activity Statements (IAS)Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures and investments that is being worked onReconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account informationOrganize and update financial records as needed (digital) for tax purposesStay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any relevant field, CPA is preferredAt least 3+ year experience in Australian accounting, and bookkeepingStrong working experience with Australian Payroll & Accounting softwareExcellent knowledge of Microsoft software, and other business software systems– extensive knowledge in Xero, XPM, and other relevant accounting software systemsFamiliarity with fyidocsWorking knowledge in GST, BAS, IAS etc.Familiarity with office management procedures and accounting principlesHas a proactive approach to business and technologyExcellent written and verbal English communication and interpersonal skills
