Laboratory Technologist in nuclear medicine is responsible to provide accurate and precise preparation of radiopharmaceuticals to ensure their safety and efficacy. Ensures all radiopharmaceuticals meet the quality standard. Comply with radiation safety standard and report any suspected spillage or contamination in the Laboratory to Radiation Safety Officer (RSO).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Receive pharmaceutical orders of clients via phone call, email , SMS message, and facsimile message.
2. Ensure the accuracy of log orders on designated Order Forms.
3. Prepare sticker labels and other documents for delivery and shipment (such as packing list, transport certificate, and PAL forms)
4. Sterilize vials and dispensing tools.
5. Perform Daily Constancy on Dose Calibrator.
6. Dispense radiopharmaceuticals (Tc99m/TL-201 / I-131)
7. Pack radiopharmaceuticals for delivery
8. Perform strict Quality Control on radiopharmaceuticals
9. Proper waste disposal and clean-up of assigned area
10. Assist in the inventory of supplies, etc.
11. Assist in the management of radioactive waste
12. Immediately reports any untoward incident to supervisor/ manager
13. Accurately accomplish assigned tasks
