Investment Operations Associate Manager

Investment Operations Associate Manager will be responsible for all aspects of investment operations, including development of investment operations system and updating of process documentation, as well as cost effective settlement of investment trades. Ensuring that governance are in place in monitoring investments of the company as well as funds being managed by an external fund managers.Responsible in the settlement of trades for general funds, i.e. instructions for buy and sell of investment securities and money market placements.In-charge in providing summary of trades to custodian for internally managed VUL funds and providing schedules to Clearwater and responsible in setting up new accounts and securities in ClearwaterResponsible for the daily subscription and redemption of unit linked funds and other unit linked related transactionsResponsible on monitoring of Investment Compliance of both internally managed and externally managed fund, reporting any breaches to Head of Investment Operations who will then escalate to Local Investment Committee and Risk Committee.Main person to work on the set-up of new unit linked fund in Life Asia system and in fund administrator (UAT, Business requirement inputs, etc) as well as process improvement related to unit linked fundsResponsible in the delivery of Investment reports to the management, group office and different stakeholders.Responsible in all regulatory reports related to Investments like Investment made and sold, Quarterly Statistics reports, annual statements, etc.Assist in providing reports and schedule for external audit.Knowledge & Skills:Education & Certification: Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalentPreferably Certified Public Accountant (CPA) but not requiredAttended Trust Operations and Investment Management course is a plusExperience: With at least two to three (2 - 3) years’ experience in a senior staff role in an investment operations function, preferably with life Insurance accounting background. Technical Competencies/Skills:  Experience in Treasury settlement, Investment Operations and Investment ReportingKnowledgeable in Insurance Commissions rulings about investments and related reportsKnowledgeable in IFRS 9Must have inquisitive and challenging mind-setLogical thinkerMust possess business acumen and understand the connection between business drivers and financial outcomes
