ROLE DEscriptION

The Senior Global Pricing Specialist, GSCS is responsible for generating, tracking and communicating all quoting activities for new and existing customers. Quoting all vendor products, vendor services and vendor support, Westcon services and Westcon support and any logistics or 3rd party value added service products, for any regional or global opportunity.

Duties:

Obtain and review customer documentation for accuracy, completeness, and eligibility.Liaising with vendors to ensure pricing contracts are valid and available.Production of quotations for customers within agreed SLA’s.Production and maintenance of pricing catalogues, and development of self-service tools.Maintenance of system pricing conditions in the ERP system.Maintain a central repository of all contractual sales conditions and sales retentions.

Responsibilities:

Be part of a central team for all world-wide quote requestsGenerate, co-ordinate and provide customer quotes for all world-wide regions.Project co-ordinate large global bids and ensure submission to the customer within the agreed SLALiaise with Vendors and Customers directly to resolve any discrepancies preventing valid quotations from being produced.Working with the Vendor to ensure that all special pricing agreements are in placeAttend regular update calls/meetings with the Account Director as and when requiredAttend meetings/calls where necessary with the vendor or customer to discuss large bids and projectsIdentify efficiency gaps, and strive for continuous improvementWork within the agreed SLA’sHave a flexible approach to working hours during peak periods.

Customer Support:

Keep customers fully up-to-date with the status of quote requests and queriesEstablish productive vendor relationships to ensure quality of service to customersManage any special bids or pricing projectsEstablish strong & mutually respectful relationships with internal departments

Administrative/Self Development:

Be able to prioritise the customers’ needs and react accordinglyEnsure all pricing agreements and approvals are documented and held in a central repositoryAttend relevant internal and external product, system or tools trainingMeet all reporting deadlines with accuracyMaintain and develop own knowledge of Westcon and vendor product portfolio

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Knowledge

Technology:

o Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point

o Experience of using SAP ERP systems

o Knowledge of Cisco, Palo Alto or other IT products will be an advantage.

Finance:

o Be able to review minimum profitability requirements on a transaction level

o Be able to calculate percentages and margins.

o Experience in international quotations.

Sales:

o Understanding of the sales environment

o Detailed understanding of our contractual agreements with vendors and customers

Customer Service:

o Good written and verbal communication essential

Required Skills

Min. 3 years experience in multi countries, cross borders transactions in related IT industry.Highly organised with high attention to detail and accuracyAdaptable to changeStrong key relationship-building skillsStrong Communication skillsConfident and clear telephone mannerAbility to work both individually and as part of a team

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

Responding to quote requests within set SLAMeeting customer expectations: queries, issues, vendor approvals and resolutionsProduce high quality quotations that can be ordered without issue or error

Operating Environment

Working as part of the Global Deployment Solutions (GDS) Team, this role is 1 of 10 dedicated quote specialists who will support all GDS customer activity, working alongside the Service Delivery Managers (who act as the Single Point of Contact for our customers), the Sales Operations Specialists (who will manage all Order Management tasks, Customer Service tasks and any transactions related to RMA or disputes), and a team of Project Managers and Coordinators who will work to ensure programs and projects are delivered according to our contractual agreements.
