WHAT THIS POSITION IS about? - PURPOSE

Reporting to Record to Report Center Process Manager, to provide consistent, efficient, effective, and accurate service delivery in transactional requests, analysis, and statutory reporting in the areas of General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Controlling, Cash Management, Financial Supply Chain Management (TMO/TBO), and VAT or GST compliance, to the business partners in the Asia Pacific (Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam) and Americas (Canada and USA) in full compliance with JTI Accounting & IFRS requirements, Corporate policies and procedures, GBS internal guidelines, individual market requirements, and JSOX GRM that all in line with Service Level Agreements.

WHAT WILL YOU DO? - RESPONSIBILITIES

Transactional Processing and Month-End:

Perform all Record to Report (AA/GL/CO/CM/FSCM) transactional requests activities professionally by ensuring:(i) All requests are processed timely and accurately in accordance with requirements stipulated in the SLA(ii) All month-end closing activities are performed in accordance with JTI global closing schedule

Analysis and Reporting:

Ensure accuracy of analysis and timely distribution of all analysis and reporting services to all relevant parties relating to :i) Bank reconciliationii) Consolidation of bank reconciliation and bank fees report for Global Treasury reportingiii) Local VAT /GST reportingiv) All other analysis/reports listed in the SLA, as well as any ad-hoc requests from time to time

Control and Compliance:

Ensure and uphold a strong control environment in the organization. This is achieved by:(i) Complying and keeping abreast of the latest IFRS and local statutory requirements, where relevant(ii) Adhering to JTI policies & procedures and all internal control practices(iii) Executing J-SOX controls and keeping all required evidence as a Control Owner

Business Partnering and Teamwork:

Demonstrate commitment to achieving service excellence through:(i) Cultivate good team spirit and "can do" attitude within and across the team(ii) Ensure timely resolution and closure of queries and issues (both internal and external)(iii) Ensure effective communication with business partners(iv) Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders

Process Improvement:

Embrace GBS Mission and Vision to achieve operational excellence through(i) Constantly develop the required business and process knowledge including maintaining process documentation to keep up to date(ii) Perform regular reviews on R2R operational metrics and KPIs to identify and make recommendations that optimize/improve business processes. This includes involve in process improvement implementation, system testing, and/or any improvement initiative assigned.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? - REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 2 years in an accounting-related role providing broad experiences across a full set of accounts or SSC GL ExperiencesAdvance diploma/university degree in accounting or working towards an accounting professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MACPA, CIMA)Fluent in English (oral and written), knowledge of the languages of the countries within GBS scope is a plusAccounting skills -The ability to interpret and apply professional accounting standards and principles such as IFRS.Internal Control Environment - Ability to apply and remediate sound financial governance principles including internal controls and J-Sox.Data Management - The ability to develop data architecture, practices, and procedures dealing with data, including data maintenance, protection, delivery, and quality.Direct & Indirect Tax Accounting - Understanding of tax technical positions to translate into accounting terms and document for accounting requirements.Enterprise Structure - Understanding of interrelationships between various components of JTI enterprise structure such as company codes, plants, storage locations, and structures involving SAP objects like CC, Profit center, etc.Technical skills - Competent in SAP and MS office applications.
