Category Manager

Responsibilities:Manages the procurement of assigned categories in accordance to applicable policies, procedures, and specificationsDrives the realization of savings, supply efficiency, quality, and process improvements, in line with regional and global strategiesEnsures execution of procurement strategies as required and agreedIdentifies savings opportunities and initiates individual projects and initiatives at all operational levelsNegotiates in close coordination with stakeholders for local volumes, processes, quality levels, and pricesevaluates, recommends, and implements risks mitigation actions for sourcing and supply of goods and services to effectively support the company’s 3rd party requirementsEnsures that global and local policies and procedures are conveyed to end-users in the Procurement of goods and servicesManages and develops sourcing specialists where required and address developmental needsAssures team’s compliance with applicable laws, ethical standards, policies, and code of business conductEnsures locally generated savings are reported as required and in accordance with global reporting standardsRequirements:Graduate of Business, Engineering, or other related disciplinesMinimum of 2 years of work experience in strategic procurement and/or logistics operationsAt least 1 year of management experience within a Procurement or operational environmentPreferably with at least 1 year of experience on data/information processing systems, preferably SAP MM Working knowledge on contracts management, procurement practices/processes, relevant government legislations, (BIR, BOC, DTI, DENR) and OH&S rules/regulations Preferably a Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) and exposure on basic cement process and application of potential problem analysis
