Job purposeEnsure accurate and timely completion of statutory and tax audit requirements to meet statutory and internal deadlinesWork with other Finance Towers to identify process improvement opportunities to reduce dependencies and processing timeDuties and responsibilitiesAssist the Statutory Compliance Director in planning audits (e.g. confirming requirements, agreeing timelines with auditors), training staff and monitoring attendance and performanceServe as point of contact of auditors for statutory and tax audit requirements of assigned IWG entitiesEnsure audit and related administrative activities, documents and reports are accomplished on time and free of errorReconcile and understand differences between statutory and IFRS accounts and document the same in the accounting systemEnsure final accounts, working files and other related documents are stored on SharePoint and determine if there are documents required by country law to be archived physicallyKeep abreast of all regulatory changes impacting assigned IWG entitiesWhere required or requested:Flag going concern and/or equity issues (preferably before year end) and coordinate resolution with GroupPropose dividend distribution at least once a year subject to country law and secure Group approval Prepare analysis and schedules required during tax inspection of assigned IWG entitiesAssist in corporate income tax return preparation and/or filingCalculate and/or review current and deferred tax calculationsPrepare books of accounts required to be registered with a tax authorityPerform other tasks assigned by the Statutory Compliance Director QualificationsCPAAt least 6-7 years of experience in statutory audits and/or financial reportingKnowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)Proficient in MS applicationsStrong communication skills – written and verbalAble to manage a team, prioritize tasks, manage issues and produce results in a timely mannerHighly analyticalCan work well under pressure and with minimal supervisionTeam playerThe following are preferred but not required:Experience in Big 4Background in BPO/Shared Services operationsExperience in dealing with and managing 3rd party service providers
