Handles the hiring process from beginning to end; responsible for advertising, posting job requisitions, qualifying and interviewing applicants, and filling out all employment paperwork. Conducts training such as but not limited to onboarding and the like. 

Job Responsibilities:

Design and update job descriptionsSource potential candidates from various online channelsCraft recruiting emails to attract passive candidatesScreen incoming resumes and application forms Interview candidates (via phone, video and in-person)Prepare and distribute assignments and numerical, language and logical reasoning testsAdvertise job openings on company’s careers page, social media, job boards and internallyMediating between candidates and hiring managersProvide shortlists of qualified candidates to hiring managersSend job offer emails and answer queries about compensation and benefitsMonitor key HR metrics, including time-to-fill, time-to-hire and source of hireParticipate in job fairs and host in-house recruitment eventsCollaborate with managers to identify future hiring needsAct as a consultant to new hires and help them onboardEnsures 201 is complete Conducts orientation and/or onboarding to the new hiresPerforms end-to-end recruitment processRevising HR policies and ensuring that fair employment practices are implementedPerforms other relevant duties.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, psychology, or another related fieldAt least 3 years of experience as a HR Specialist with a track record of employee placement and employee relationsThe ability to work within a team and to coordinate team activities.Excellent analytical skills to examine resumes and find the best-suited candidatesClear verbal skills to communicate well with candidates and managersLeadership abilities to delegate tasks and train new employees.Strong negotiation skills when discussing terms and conditions of employmentIn-depth knowledge of hiring strategies, labor laws, and employment equityThe ability to evaluate recruiting software packages and to recommend those which are best suited to the company
