Tax Compliance Senior Associate

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs day-to-day Tax Compliance operations as follows:

      - Records, verifies and executes transactions with a high level of complexity according to process documentation

      - Manages compliance processes in relevant area (VAT, WHT, CIT, local tax) according to the activity split with country

      - Handles Tax queries

      - Follow ups and resolves issues and queries within the team from internal and external stakeholders. (First point of escalation)

      - Manages tax assessment process for all Tax Compliance processes

      - Monitors process exceptions and specifics due to local tax regulation per country

      - Support Team Leader and Senior Expert in operational topics.

Participate in Expert networksPoint of contact to tax authorities and auditors; supports local teams or outsourcer in tax audits;Ensures proper support provided by the Tax Accounting department for audit and compliance.Contributes to improve tax processes and implementation of innovation, process improvements and standardization.Performs other tasks as required by the role

WHO YOU ARE

Must be a Certified Public AccountantWith 2-5 years of Local Tax Accounting experience in the areas of VAT, Withholding and Corporate Income Taxation.With knowledge in PEZA regulation and its reportorial requirements.Knowledge in ASEAN Tax is an advantageAdvanced understanding of technical accounting and financial reporting in a corporate environment.Knowledge of the relevant IT systems (e.g., SAP)Knowledgeable in Excel, Power Point and SharePoint. Experience in Excel macros or VBA would be a plus.Fluent in English, any other spoken language is a plus.Advanced communication skills and ability to express complex issues in an understandable manner.Ability to lead teleconferences in an international contextAbility to collaborate and work under pressure with high flexibility in changing and complex environments
