The role of the Bookkeeper is to maintain the client's financial records, including general accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations & payroll.

Responsibilities

Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting processVerify that transactions are recorded in the correct book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledgerProcess accounts receivable/payableHandle payroll and government contributions in a timely mannerPrepare Client invoice and ensure that receivables are collected promptlyRecord cash receipts and bank depositsConduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank accountConduct periodic reconciliations of all client’s accounts to ensure their accuracyProvide information to the external accountant who creates the company’s financial statementsMaintain an orderly accounting filing systemMaintain the chart of accountsCalculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to managementComplete tax formsComply with local and government reporting requirements like BIR, PEZA, SEC and other government agenciesPrepare worksheets during annual audit or BIR auditAdhoc duties

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in AccountancyAt least 2-3 years’ experience working in a bookkeeping roleSolid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principlesProven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial recordsData entry skills along with good analytical skillsHands-on experience with spreadsheets and accounting software like QBProficiency in communication and in MS OfficeHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detail
