Finance Controller (Senior Accountant) - AU Company!

JOIN OUR GROWING AU CAR RENTAL COMPANY!WE OFFER HYBRID WORK SET-UP AND HEALTH INSURANCE AFTER 30 DAYS!The General Accountant is responsible to manage monthly reports, the general ledger and, managing the end-to-end process for accounts receivable and payable.Your key responsibilities will include:Already have knowledge and experience in accounting/best practices. Industry knowledge is not required.Be able to resolve issues or present possible solutionsUnderstand the cause and effect of transactionsBe able to perform tasks in a timely mannerHandle large amounts of data (+-10k line items) and transform this using excelBe comfortable with general ledgers (other than AR/AP) and general journalsTasks include:Bank reconciliationsPosting FN and Month end accrual payroll journals. (Including intercompany invoices and journals)Reporting with graphs and analysisBAS SubmissionsMaintain fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, transfersBe able to perform complicated reconciliationsPrepayment calculations and journalsIntercompany loan and AR/AP matrixAccruals and associated calculationsWeekly/monthly reportingWrite, create, and develop policies and proceduresQualifications:MUST have an accounting degree from a university & know a debit from a creditMUST have SOLID accounting knowledge tax knowledge is not the driver for this role. The candidate must be hands onMUST have a minimum of 5 years + experience in processing month end reporting from start to finish. That is Doing the Doing not mentoring someone else.MUST be able to provide analysis on month end and assist with board reporting.MUST be a good communicator.MUST be able to complete tasks accurately and in a timely fashion as directed by their superior.
