Our Philippine office is expanding, and we are looking for Geotechnical Engineers/ Engineering Geologists to join our growing team.
Here's What You'll Need:You must have a master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, or Engineering Geology, or equivalent. You would need to have proven experience in various aspects of soil and rock investigation work, including preparation of scope and requirements, to interpretation of data. You would also need to be capable of providing engineering design analysis.
The specific competency needed for this role includes rock mechanics and tunnel engineering. You must be able to handle design work for rock stability assessment and mitigation analysis, and has hands-on experience in the use of software, such as Rocscience (RS2, Slide, etc.), Geostudio (SLOPE/W, etc.). Sound understanding of relevant local and international standards would be advantageous.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills are needed since you would also need to deliver outputs through preparation of technical notes, interpretative reports, and interaction with contractors & clients.
Jacobs has large-scale projects involving various professionals across its local and global network. You must have sound interpersonal and technical management skills demonstrating the ability to participate and/or lead a team of professionals in delivering solutions working in a detailed design or EPC environment.
The Philippine office is looking to expand in international design work. It will be an added advantage if you have experience with Middle East projects.
