The key objective of the SC Specialist Excellence IGPRES - Assurance is to conduct risk oversight, execute global and local assurance, maintain effective risk governance and management for overseeing operational risk activities within the Supply Chain (SC) IG Australia to protect license to operate internally and externally.

The SC Specialist Excellence IGPRES – Assurance will be responsible for assurance strategy development and delivery as well as manage implementation of a wide range of assurance activities to ensure full compliance with given standards, guidelines, and processes in the Asset Management System – Manage Supply Chain as well as external legal and regulatory requirements.

Principal Accountabilities:

Supply Chain Risk and Assurance

Serves as Focal Point to drive and manage the health of the asset based on the “Conduct Assurance” standards in the Asset Management System (AMS) specific to Manage Supply Chain (MSC) Process in SC IG AustraliaLeads and facilitates the quarterly risk management reviews to assess, validate, update SC risks and ensures they are fit for purpose in protecting our license to operateActs as the EasyRisk gatekeeper & superuser ensuring the Supply Chain Risk Visual is updated with appropriate actionsInitiate Risk Assessments & deep dives, develop corrective and preventive action plans to enhance supply chain performanceEnsures timely execution and closure of open, approaching due and overdue actions enabled by the AIF Action Tracker Power BI dashboard which consolidates all actions from various platforms such as RADAR, SONAR, EasyRisk (SC & assets), FIM, SPHERA, etc.Acts as the focal point of the Supply Chain Team in the development of the over-all Assurance Plan in the Asset/ Business levelConsolidates Risk & Assurance processes and monitors the progress of the integrated Line of Defense (LOD)1/2/3 scheduled activities for all workstreams (not just Source Team) in the supply chainLiaises with the Prelude Assurance Focal Point and QGC Assurance Focal point to align assurance activities related to SC/CP, ensure appropriateness and prevent duplication of effortsDelivers LOD1 Asset Internal Audits, supports LOD 2/3/External audits, and manages/supports additional LOD1 activities (Go Sees, Health Checks) as necessaryAligns assurance efforts between Shell SC IG Australia and the central CP Assurance organizationProvides leadership and coaching to staff on assurance activities, why it is critical to the business, and their role to ensure the local management system is effectiveProvides assistance to internal or external auditors in compliance reviewsReinforce workflow guidelines to clarify roles and responsibilities and enhance collaboration with all related parties to ensure effective execution of assurance actionsExplore digital tools to automate current ways of working such as but not limited to : LOD 1 checklist, Annual Assurance Plan monitoring, risk visual

External Legal and Regulatory Requirements

Liaises with legal, internal/external relations, finance, corporate communications, etc. to ensure that SC IG Australia is conducting activities in full compliance with all national and international laws and regulations that pertain to its particular industry, as well as professional standards, accepted business practices, and Shell internal standards and rulesKeeps up to date with, and understands, relevant laws and regulations (i.e. Modern Slavery Act, Western Australia (WA) Security of Payment Act, Payment Times Reporting Act, etc)Responsible for standard compliance reporting, including data preparation and analysis for submission to regulatory entities (i.e. Australian Border Force, Australian Industry Participation (AIP), Local Content, Payment Times Reporting Regulator, etc)Prepares Board Presentations, Board Papers, Circular Resolutions for submission to regulatory / government organizations and presents at Board Meetings for approval, as necessaryAssesses the performance of the supply chain against national and international laws, conducts compliance reviews as necessary to identify risks, track effectiveness of due diligence and remediation processes and onboards the supply chain community to follow suitInforms related parties in the asset of the legislative changes, make impact analysis together with legal and business, ensure compliance with the new legislations

IM Compliance Focal Point

Runs and maintains SC IG Australia SharePoint SitesActs as FSO/ GRM Focal Point for SC IG Australia SharePoint Sites responding to queries and assisting staff to resolve related concernsAttends the Global IM Network calls as the representative of SC IG AustraliaCommunicates the updates/ announcements/ developments in the Global IM network calls and ensures compliance from the communities supported

What We Need From You?

We are looking for someone who has extensive experience in Risk Management, Compliance, and Internal Audit.

Other Key Experiences and Qualifications:

University degree (Business, Finance, Accountancy, Auditing, Supply Chain) or equivalentGood working knowledge of operational risk management frameworks and processesExperience in designing, implementing, and validating the effectiveness of operational controlsSubstantial experience working in assurance roles or equivalent experience involving responsibility for risk management, development of assurance plans, TORs for assurance activities and the management of assurance outcomes with stakeholdersInnovation / Learning / Best Practices mindset. A high energy change agent (e.g. tools, process, ways of working) who is results oriented with enthusiasm to proactively seek and lead improvements in business performance and ways of workingExcellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable in providing presentations and conducting training and facilitation sessions even with senior managementStrong organization, planning and project management skills with robust attention to detailStrong interpersonal and relationship skills; ability to influence and impact across organizational interfacesStrong communication, negotiation and relationship building skills. Ability to form strong and trusting working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across cultures, and to influence while working virtuallyCourage to intervene and challenge the status quoQualities of independence, objectivity and analysisSelf-motivated, organized and adaptableExperience working with regulators and managing audit inspections would be an advantageFor internal applicants, skill in the Shell Control framework, risk management, compliance programs and control frameworks would be an advantageAssurance related certifications in good standing, Audit or assurance qualification e.g. Qualified Chartered Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor or equivalent not required but would be an advantage
