Job Summary:
The Pricing Director is responsible for overseeing the technical pricing function of the Company. He leads a team of accomplished actuarial professionals in building and improving the Company's portfolio of product offerings, ensuring that these meet internal standards for competitiveness, profitability, and customer value. He liaises with different internal and external stakeholders such as the Product Development & Management Team, the Reinsurance Team and reinsurers, the Operations Team, and the Distribution Team in developing value propositions and helping to ensure seamless end-to-end product experience, from pricing to system set-up to product launch and in-force product support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Pricing and profitability analysis of life or health insurance products using the Company's frameworks, strategies, and internal profitability metrics, including preparation of internal pricing reports for approval of local and regional Product Approval Committees.
Liaising with reinsurers to secure optimal product/pricing support.
Preparation and submission of required documents to the local regulator for product approval.
Collaboration with the Product Development & Management and Group Administration & Sales Teams in identifying target markets and specific solutions to those markets' needs, including monitoring and analysis of market trends along with existing Company offers that could lead to new pricing solutions.
Provision of technical support to campaigns and other product initiatives Overseeing the plan set-up and being involved in the product implementation process.
Effective management of resources, including proper scheduling of deliverables, to ensure timely product launches which are supported by thorough pricing work and review, and sufficient system and process
validations for seamless end-to-end customer experience Development & maintenance of internal pricing models that are aligned with the Company's standards for excellence, simplicity & efficiency, including proper documentation.
Mentoring of direct reports and succession planning.
