As Data Administrator you are given tasks of implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the backup solution and providing backup services for the organization.
You Will:
Configure, monitor, administer and maintain of the backup environment including Backup servers, backup storage, VTL, network configuration, and clients.Perform standard and test restores of requested files, folders, databases, and virtual machines.Perform and Establish disaster recovery protocol.Report department KPIs to top management.Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on application design.Design and implement database in accordance to end users informationDefine, manage and optimize database access (user/security maintenance)Implement backup configuration standardsTroubleshoot backup issues related to VMs and flat files Troubleshoot backup problems related to IBM DB2, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL databasesMinimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses.Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures, and standardsSkills and Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards.Has at least 3 years of experience in database administration and IT Support.Bachelor's degree in IT or business studies or any related studiesHigh knowledge on Backup, Storage and server areasOrganizational skills: prioritize, plan, assign and controlAttention to detailAnalytical mindset and good problem-solving skillsWork Set Up: Hybrid
