Systems Engineer - VMWare

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will assist in the management, maintenance and installation of VMware infrastructuresCandidate will assist in providing operational engineering support to enterprise-level solutions using virtual server hosting, backup solutions, off-site data replication and service level storage solutionsSupport the implementation of VMware hardware and operating systems solutions to provide hosting services to multiple overseas Posts.Provision Virtual Machines and patches to the software and hardware hosting infrastructure.Maintain, manage and provide troubleshooting procedures to various VMware Issues and escalationsParticipate in on- call after-hours support rotation, responding to support calls after- hours/weekends/holidays/shutdowns.Complete Service Request tickets for VMWare technical issuesOther Adhoc Systems Admin Task

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.At least 4 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.3+ years doing virtualization/virtual system administration.VMware Certified Preferred but not a requirementProven background and solid Knowledge on various VMware management tools (vCenter, vRealize Operations, VMware Configuration Manager).Working knowledge in building scalable, highly available, mission critical virtual infrastructuresExperience or working knowledge of Disaster Recovery technologies helpful.Experience or working knowledge of Backup technologies helpfulKnowledge of and experience doing a one-to-many configuration/deployment of SRM.Applicants must be willing to work on a Hybrid Setup (mixed On-site & WFH)Applicants must be willing to work in BGC Taguig City.
