Position Overview
The NOC technician role will be responsible for monitoring, administration, and break/fix support of client’s managed appliance. You will be responsible for maintaining the patch compliance of clients’ servers to ensure systems are protected against published vulnerabilities, mitigating operating system risks and enabling maximum systems’ availability for clients’ business operations.
What you’ll do at Insight
Manage Windows OS updates, software updates, and application patching and distribution, remediation of identified IT system security related issues, threat mitigation and reporting, trend analysis of captured data.Patch Mgt Tool Administration of clients’ patching configurations; clients’ patching schedules; data collection; and reporting for servers and PCs.Validate patch deployments for compliance against respective patching policies.document issue details and resolution following standard process in designated ticketing system according to standard policy.Monitoring and administration of servers / network infrastructure.Perform general remote trouble shooting and attempts to resolve client’s issue based on technical knowledge, SOPs and expertise within agreed upon SLAsEscalates issues to higher tier of support. Collaborate with Engineers to determine the effective course of action.Other duties or task may be assigned from time to time.Reports directly to Service ManagerGeneral Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree Focusing on IT, Computer Engineering and other related studies, from fouryear College or UniversityAt least 3 years of related work experience in a NOC or equivalent environment supporting IT infrastructure which includes administration, support and implementation of servers, networks, databases and storage assets. Remote troubleshooting experience, required.Able to thrive in an environment characterized by rapidly changing requirements and an ongoing focus on meeting operational objectivesStrong written and verbal English communications skillsAble to successfully manage multiple prioritiesProven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organizationStrong commitment to company values and operating principlesTechnical Requirements:
Strong understanding of Windows/Linux Server OS system settings, management settings and its navigation.Understanding of Network Infrastructure Concepts (OSI Layers, DNS, Basic Network Config)Strong understanding of patch management solutions, concepts, and strategiesOther technical skills and experience.Familiarity with ITSM concepts and experience with ticketing system.Experience working with remote access tools and understanding of security protocols compliance.Preferred
Industry recognized certifications. ITIL, CCNA, Microsoft technology certificates, others.Experience supporting or working in an Enterprise and/or Global Managed Services environment.scripting experience using Powershell, VBS, BASH etc.Knowledge and/or experience with SQLKnowledge and/or experience with NetAppabout Insight
