IT Senior Network Specialist

Industry Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunications) or any related course Minimum 5 years experience in a Network Administrator / Specialist role 

Technical Skills: 

Solid Knowledge of networking protocols such as Domain Name Server (DNS), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Experience working with network systems and networking principles, data, voice, or video. Solid Knowledge in TCPIP Fundamentals and commonly used network protocols (MPLS, IPv6, OSPF, BGP), IPSec, VPN, and GRE Tunneling. Experience with network risk analysis, modeling, and backup administration functions. Experience creating test plans, procedures, and reports for testing of network equipment office and remote sites. Demonstrate experience and /or Background with Network analysis tools or Monitoring Platforms (Wireshark, Nagios, Cacti, Solar winds, LibreNms, Etc.). Knowledge and Experience in Checkpoint firewall administration. Knowledge and Experience in F5 load balancer administration. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) 

Behavioral Skills: 

Analytical mind, problem-solving, well organized and can be trusted to pay attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with senior management. Positive can-do attitude and ability to understand the user's needs. Strong leadership skills and experience with managing small teams. 

As part of our growth, your tasks will be:

Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations. Designing and implementing network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks Installs, configures, and maintains network core systems, switches, routers, Ethernet networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems. Conducts routine inspection and audit of network systems, software, internet, links, and tools to ensure regular performance tuning and maintenance of systems and usage monitoring. Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure Cooperates with the group IT teams and provides them with the necessary assistance Define needs, benefits analysis, and recommend the, technical strategy Performs daily system monitoring, verifying integrity and availability of all network equipment. Close cooperation with IT Architect, IT Security, Helpdesk, and Technical Support Team. Cooperation with 3rd party vendors and service providers for the repair of hardware and network equipment. Provide Tier II/other support with IT groups as per request from various constituencies and provide them with the necessary assistance. Investigate and troubleshoot issues. Maintain and extend expertise in applicable areas of network and computer hardware and software technology. Handles communication technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, as well as interface with the customer daily. Ability to prioritize and work productively and efficiently with minimal supervision
