Database Engineer (SQL)

The Database Engineer will be responsible for designing and programming applications or developing and supporting Databases. This engineer would complete low to medium complexity tasks to help fulfil user requirements. The engineer will provide support and maintenance for current applications or databases to ensure efficiencies and resolutions to issues. The engineer must be able to demonstrate complex problem-solving ability.The engineer must be able to synthesize information from multiple sources (functional requirements, system environment constraints, security standards, and technical research) to understand a situation and identify implementation steps

Job Duties & Competencies 

Responds to development requests by researching current process and determine whether a technical solution can be implemented. In addition, researches application data sources to determine availability of the requested data. Develops and tests software application, as well as performs application certification, deployment and provides application support for standalone or web-based applications.

Demonstrates a knowledge proficiency of the following technology:

· SQL skills utilizing DDL (Data Definition Language)

· DML (Data Manipulation Language)

· SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)

· SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)

· Data Warehouse Skills
