Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY
The Planning & Development Officer assists the President & CEO in developing, implementing and monitoring the Strategic and Business Plans and developing and reviewing organizational and departmental policies. Functions also include collecting, analyzing and compiling data on social, economic and political issues.
KEY RESPonSIBLITIES AND DUTIES:
Leads the development of business performance management tools and measurement systems to facilitate and support corporate performance improvement.Delivering excellent customer service to a range of stakeholders.Assist in developing, implementing and monitoring the Strategic and Business Plans of the Ministry in collaboration with other key personnel.Assist in developing and reviewing policies which affect the Ministry.Collect, analyze and compile data on social, economic and political issues.Prepare working papers, reports and briefs designed to aid in the process of planning, policy formulation and problem solving.Prepares preliminary evaluation of all reports received in the progress of projectReport to the President and CEO on developments and changes in legislation, regulations, international standards and other relevant research.Assists in coordinating activities of different offices that are linked in the preparation of particular problems; andPerform related work as may be required.QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of Entrepreneurship, Business Management or any related course.A minimum of five (5) years work experience in policy development, planning, research and evaluation.Strong organization skills with an ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize associated administration.Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with a high standard of report writing and confidence to speak with senior leaders and stakeholders.Analytical skills to assess the viability of planning proposals and assess their suitabilityCreative thinking with a talent for practical problem solving.
