The Role
Reporting to the Head of Technology, you will be responsible for the continuation of development of our existing IOT Solutions
You will be responsible for:
Learning our Existing IOT Systems and take over current and future development of the Systems from our retiring Team Leader.
Work alongside and review/advise on Hardware/Software requirements to meet the company’s objectives.
Work with the company’s DevOP’s engineer to ensure projects and solutions are delivered on an agreed schedule and within a defined environment including all management systems.
Work with other Developers (Web/Mobile Apps) for integrations of other software/hardware solutions that are within scope of the company’s requirements.
Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
1) Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline (i.e.Electronics/Computer/Communications Sciences) with a minimum 10+ Years Industry proven experience
2) Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
3) Expert knowledge of TCP/IP Network Stack implementation
4) You will also have demonstrated experience in the following skillsets:
- Hardware design background both digital and analogue solutions
- Embedded software development
- Linux and windows applications development
- Networking protocols (udp tcp icmp arp dhcp)
- Ethernet hardware and software driver development
- DTMF/PWM Analogue Conversion protocol implementation
- Serial (RS232) communications protocol Implementation
- PSTN/POTS operation and standards
- Analogue Signal processing and data acquisition
- VF modem handling and techniques
- Cellular Modem integration & handling (3G 4G 5G)
- Wireless (Wifi) networking standards and application development
- Data Encryption standards and techniques
- Real time event processing techniques
- In circuit debugging and development techniques
- PIC assembler experience
- Distributed command and control systems
- System/Server Redundancy Implementation
- Network Topology design and security (private public isolation)
- Database integration (with real time system)
5) Skilled technical leadership skills across engineering disciplines which include the design, integration, test and manufacture of electronic systems
6) Create specifications and plans including Software/Firmware Requirements Specifications (SRS), Software Development Plans (SDP), diagnostic and programming documentation, and other documentation relating to software.
7)Ability to tailor firmware architectures and development processes to suit specific situations.
In-depth knowledge of and experience using version control tools
8) Experience in NET MVC/Core/PHP/Python/Java and web development toolsets
9) Knowledge of software development practices (TDD, SOLID design principles etc).
10) Configure software projects using common build systems ideally for multiple build environments (Linux, Windows Server).
11) Excellent Knowledge of electronic schematics and ability to debug design.
12) Detailed written documentation of processes.
13) Telecommunications systems experience – Cellular Technology specific.
