Pre-Sales Technical Engineer (Cisco | Servers | Storage)

Position Summary:

Answer emails, calls and/or chat transactions.Respond or initiate outbound calls within established service level parameters.Process electronic/ BID requests from customers within established turnaround time.Provide resellers and end users with full solutions for business needs with an emphasis on customer service and facilitation of sales.Records all information accurately in the Solution Quote during customer dealings.Prevent customer returns by ensuring accuracy of solutions provided.Apply appropriate pricing (standard or special) on quotations/BOMs, per instructions of internal or external contactsEnroll opportunities for special pricing, deal registrations, and/or available pricing schemes as appropriateRespond to walk-up inquiries from other technicians and be able to use the information to identify training opportunities.Develop and conduct vendor, segment specific or internal procedure trainings and resources for other TS associates (new hire training, upskilling, cross-skilling, refresher).Compile ROI reports, team development plans and provide other support to vendor or segment, as requested/assigned.Constantly develop and improve training process/materials to produce successful new hires.Perform prescribed quality audits on transactions and forward findings and recommendations to supervisors or as instructedMay play a role as a “Go-To” technician or Champion representative. (interactions with internal contacts and/or external contacts [vendor and resellers] relating to assigned vendor)Proactively coach co-technician on technical and technology related issues.Proactively identify co-technicians’ training opportunities and help address them to increase consistency within the segment team.Proactively coordinates with vendor or in-country counterparts to discuss and address training opportunities; as well as develop schemes to drive sales for our vendor partners and Ingram MicroProcess knowledge and understanding of SLAs

What you bring to the role:

Moderate verbal and written communication skills, including listening & comprehensionCan work morning shiftPre-Sales and/or Post Sales experience a mustCISCO certification an advantageBackground or knowledge in enterprise solutions (servers, security, network)Background on Power/IT Infrastructure or Data Center equipment/Deployment and/or Server/Storage (back-up) Solutions.Proficient in the use of basic Microsoft OfficeAble to use process specific tool navigation skills and keyboardingSkilled in Basic Sales & Time ManagementMinimum degree or 2 years of university studies required. Technical certifications and/or Bachelor’s degree in computer related studies, preferred.Three (3) years related experience in help desk, network technician or technical sales (hardware), technology segment (i.e. Servers).Able to learn complex proprietary systemsCan work as a team member or independentlyCan relaying/share information accurately to various audiences,Able to maintain systematic knowledge to complete vendor and departmental requests.Able to work on flexible, shifting hours, as neededModerate to advanced knowledge of technology for corresponding product line being profiled for (e.g. servers, networking/security, hardware and peripherals, storage, IOT, power/infrastructure)
