IT operations management executes the daily operational activities needed to manage IT services and the supporting IT infrastructure. It also provides detailed technical skills and resources needed to support the ongoing operation of IT services and the management of the IT infrastructure. The manager is also in charge of security systems, such as firewalls, data protection controls, patching, encryption, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing, and so on. It also manages the team that oversees the proper deployment, configuration, and functioning of these systems and managing the following areas:
1. IT Helpdesk
2. End of Day Operations
3. IT and POS Support Group
4. Network and Telephony
5. IT Systems Administration
6. IT Security
7. IT Asset Management
Store and Business (Corporate) Systems
Provides comprehensive/cohesive IT systems design for a strategic initiative that is comprised of multiple, co-dependent projects. Ensure design meets business needs and adheres to stated directions and standards for the architectural building blocks.
Project Management
Provides leadership in the application of industry-benchmarked, project management principles and processes to ensure successful delivery of store and corporate systems projects and other initiatives within the committed time, budget and declared scope (as per project charter).
Strategic Planning and New Technologies Assessment
Works closely with and provides technical inputs to the Information Technology Services Team in ensuring the strategic focus of the unit’s activities with the business objectives.
Relationship Management and Business Alignment
Works closely with the Information Technology Services Team in liaison activities with the leadership team, ensuring proactive management of relationships and expectations with regards to the outputs and impacts of the Information Technology Department.
Job Qualifications:
