about the role

We are looking for a highly organized and motivated Level 3 System Engineer looking to play a pivotal role supporting our client's IT goals and contributing to the growth of the company.

Reporting to a Senior Systems Engineer, you will use your problem solving and IT skills to play an active part in supporting current and future IT infrastructure both internally and externally. Depending on previous experience, this will start out with small amounts of responsibility and with time and training, escalate to a more self-sustaining role you regularly identify, diagnose and resolving issues with the support of a senior systems engineer where required.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work with our support team to collaborate on client solutionsMaintaining internal and client infrastructure to reduce downtime and costs while increasing productivityResearching issues, investigating feasibility and implementing approved solutionsUsing our internal collaboration and support systems to maximise turnaround and support timeThis role will not be client facing. However, there is scope for this to change over time for the right candidate

Skills:

Must have prior experience (i.e. working knowledge and hands on XP all at a Lvl 3You will have 1-3 years of experience in a similar level 3 IT support role and be looking to build a career for yourself within a small but supportive team. You will enjoy pushing yourself and developing your knowledge of technology, infrastructure, and business IT support. Cisco Meraki (supporting and troubleshooting via Meraki dashboard/MSP portal)Working in an MSP environment with multiple clientsFull working knowledge/experience of networking principals/practices (Including but not limited to: DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Subnets, IPSEC, layered networking, VPNs, Firewalls, traffic shaping/prioritisation)Windows Server (2008-2022) (Deployment experience and maintenance/troubleshooting in all areas including AD, GP/GPOs, WSUS, DHCP, DNS, RDG, IIS, RDNS) – relevant credentials here a must • Full working knowledge and credentials in supporting Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, 11StorageCraft (Shadow Protect, Shadow Control, Image Manager) • CrashPlan (Code 42 / CrashPlan SMB)Kaseya VSA (Agent management, agent procedures, patch management, software management) • PowerShell (scripting, automation for usage on Windows 7-11, Win Server 2008-22)Full working knowledge/experience of web hosting, DNS hosting and SSL management [in CPanel and IIS] • Experience with HP and HPE hardware and dealing with HP/HPE for support/troubleshooting •Office 365 administration (full experience in O365 admin, EAC, EAC PS) – relevant credentials here a mustRelevant cyber sec/networking credentials

Must haves:
