System Administrator

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.Proficient in Linux.Job DescriptionInstalls and administers major, very-complex, infrastructure components and facilities. Maintains infrastructure uptime, performance and security at agreed service levels.Ensure that the infrastructure setup complies with bank’s security and system administration policies.Researches industry developments regarding his assigned infrastructure components, to learn and implement better infrastructure administration practices, understand cost-effective alternatives, and to guard against unplanned obsolescence. Where needed, recommends better and/or more cost-effective replacement infrastructure.Communicates, and coordinates with infrastructure vendors regarding product updates, fixes, and support requirements.Periodically monitors the condition and performance of his assigned infrastructure components, and regularly reports the status of such to his seniors.Performs regular housekeeping on his assigned infrastructure components, e.g. cleanup of unnecessary components, system-level backup, vendor preventive maintenance, etc.
