That’s why we say, “When our customers prosper, we all win.”Job Description:Join our Weather Transportation/Road team and build software that will help the Department of Transportation!In this position as a mid-level developer you'll get the opportunity to work on the following:Developing applications and services to efficiently transform, render, and serve weather data.Collaboratively learning, evaluating, and improving existing systems and their documentation.Investigating problem reports, writing tests, and troubleshooting issues.Handling maintenance tasks affecting source code.Collaborate with Product Manager(s) on the evolution of the Weather-related Transportation product suite.Contribute to the optimization and continuous improvement of the software development process.Function in a SCRUM-based Agile environment requires the frequent release of functional code.What you bring to the team:A minimum of 2 years of experience with Python, ReactJs or Angular, Javascript, Jquery, HTML, and CSSFamiliarity and working knowledge of a wide range of database technologies ie. MySQL, Postgres.Familiarity with AWS technology is a plus.Understanding of HTTP API paradigms, like REST.Experience with React or Angular is a plusUnderstanding of Jenkins, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Confluence, or Jira toolsEffective communication skills with cross-collaborative teams.Diligence, persistence, and attention to detail.Desire to learn, help others learn, and grow your technical skills.Enthusiasm for technology and your team.Bachelor's Degree preferredEven if you don't meet these criteria perfectly but believe you have lots to bring to the role, we encourage you to apply.
