Höegh Autoliners is a global player in Ro/Ro deep sea transportation services and operates the greenest fleet in this segment. The company owns and operates approx. 40 Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs) in global trade systems, making around 3 000 port calls yearly. Managed from a worldwide network of around 16 offices, our main customers are major manufacturers of new cars, heavy machinery and other rolling stock. We are working towards a goal of zero emissions by 2040 and have an exciting roadmap to achieve this.
A Lot about You
You are self-motivated and experienced leader who has worked extensively with Infrastructure Operations and IT teams. You understand infrastructure technology and the related operations well enough to be a full participant in planning and managing these activities. You have strong background and experience in Data Center operation, which is something you will focus on in this role. You will manage six (6) team members and the daily IT Infrastructure operations. You are passionate about operational excellence and always strive to optimise current processes. You can help us take our IT Infrastructure and Operations Team to the next level.
You will directly report to the Head of IT in Manila, and will be part of the Infrastructure and Operations team.
Main Responsibilities
Manage the IT Infrastructure and Operations team including recruitment, goal setting and performance managementSteer the technology roadmap, including utilizing a cloud ecosystemOverall responsible for ensuring operational excellence in database operations, network, security as well as server and application operations including cloud services operationsCollaborate with the IT Development and IT Maintenance and Support team to proactively mitigate operational risk and disturbancesManage third party vendor relations to ensure quality services and products are delivered in a timely fashionEnsure operational preparedness for emergency response and establish standards for this and other operational excellenceImplement and improve ITIL processes within the teamImplement disaster recovery & back-up procedures as well as information security & control structuresAssessment and recommendations for improvement or re-engineering of IT Services & TechnologiesMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or greater) in Computer Science or equivalentMore than five (5) years of equivalent IT Infrastructure Operations and data center management experienceStrong project management and leadership experienceHands on experience with computer software and hardware, including servers and systemsExperience on public Cloud services and economicsProven track record of continued learning of industry standards and trendsStrong interpersonal skills and a team playerExcellent communication skills in an international work environmentWe Offer
