Senior Systems Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented senior systems engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be required to analyze computer networks, develop and implement repairs, modifications, and upgrades, and diagnose and resolve system errors or technical issues.

To be a successful senior systems engineer, you should possess advanced knowledge of hardware and software systems and exceptional analytical thinking abilities. A top-notch senior systems engineer should be able to effectively resolve technical issues and implement cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities:

Meeting with the management team to assess and define the system requirementsAnalyzing network data and infrastructure to determine inefficiencies and problemsDeveloping and designing network architecture and computer systems infrastructureOverseeing the development, installation, configuration, and administration of computer systemsManaging project timelines, budgets, and documentationMonitoring computer systems and networks for viruses, malfunctions, and errorsTroubleshooting technical issues and developing effective solutionsPreparing network analytics, data reports, and operational manualsTraining the engineering team on new systems, protocols, and best practicesKeeping abreast of the latest advancements in technology, protocols, and best practices

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a similar fieldMaster's degree is an advantageA minimum of 10-15 years' experience as a systems engineer.Hands-on experience required on network support: LAN/WAN, Fortigate/Cisco/Meraki/Sonic Wall Firewalls, Switches/Routers/Access Points, SAN/NAS, TCP/IP/Subnetting, Network Troubleshooting, Desk are network, interconnecting workstations, VOIPServer support: CompTIAA+ or Network+ certification may be advantageousExperience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, VMWare, Vsphere, Office 365 administration, Active Directory Domain Services/Certificate Services, File share, AD Azure, scripting (PowerShell), Hardware Security Module, Authentication, Monitor, document server performance and capacityProvide Technical Support using AD/ADFSFamiliarity with operating systems, such as Linux and UNIXExperience with database management software, such as MySQL, Oracle RDBMS, and Microsoft SQL ServerExcellent scripting skills with knowledge of programming languages, such as Perl, Ruby, and PythonGood knowledge of networking protocols, such as TCP, IP, and OSI modelsExceptional communication and leadership skillsStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesWork on-site – rotational shift and on-call support
