Position Summary & Purpose:
The role is focused on developing solutions that integrate modern web technologies with a legacy enterprise application. The role is a hands-on, “full-stack” Tech Lead developer role focused on developing solutions that integrate modern web technologies with a legacy enterprise application. The role will work in close collaboration with the product manager and business analysts to deliver solutions for the company. This role is well suited to a sharp motivated individual looking to build a career with an established and growing company.
Responsibilities:
Work as a technical lead of the IT team to build and maintain solutions on their Cloud platformAlongside technical knowledge, bring product building knowledge to be able to lead the technical team and provide both short term and long-term solutionsWork “full-stack” to deliver stories/features/changes end to endThis means being able to work on the frontend (React/Angular/HTML/CSS/Javascript), as well as on backend code written in JavaWork on microservices to make the codebase better via refactoring, paying technical debt etc., alongside with delivering new featuresParticipate in technical design and development discussionsEngage in regular knowledge sharing activities and continuously improve engineering practicesBe closely involved in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the team’s skillsKeep abreast of modern frameworks and programming idioms and improving current best practicesExperience with Java and Spring mandatorySolid experience with modern web application development using Javascript, Angular and ReactExperience working with AWS or a comparable cloud computing platform would be a big plus or at the very least, a willingness to pick up these technologies is desirableOthers:
A good understanding of BI tools, such as Tableau, Jaspersoft BI, to lead data team build data-intensive analytics dashboards and reportsA good understanding of Linux systems and administration in an AWS environmentA good understanding of application integration principles and best practices, and experience working on “integration-heavy” systems is neededExperience building services using REST and GraphQL and an appreciation of how to build good APIsA good understanding of databases and experience with SQL databases like PostgreSQL etc.Good understanding of CI/CD practices and principlesExperience deploying Java applications using automated build and deployment pipelinesCore Capabilities:
