Communications Specialist

Positions in this function create and manage employee-related communications, oversee internal channels of communication, and manage and coordinate all-employee meetings – such as Town Halls, Leaders Conversations, etc. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide communications support to leaders and operations teams as directedIdentify and ensure involvement of appropriate stakeholders in the development/review/approval of communication plans to obtain alignmentCollaborate with applicable stakeholders to help define the communication needs (e.g., business objectives or issues to be addressed, desired outcomes, root cause analysis)Define the audience to be addressed in the communication process (e.g., who they are, where they are, how they prefer to get information, reading level and health literacy requirements)Translate complex topics into compelling messagesWrite and produce content for communication channels, corporate and specific to the business – messages, posts, etc.Execute operations communication plans to ensure proper implementation (e.g., timelines/milestones, budget management, issue tracking, deliverables)Perform post-campaign evaluation of communications processes, identify lessons learned and recommend improvements for future campaigns based on results (e.g., apply metrics)

Requirements:

Professional proficiency in EnglishAt least 1-2 years of working in a similar role/position in a comparable organizationDegree/PG Diploma in Mass Communications, Marketing, or comparable experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills focusing on corporate storytelling, business communications and employee engagement messagingUnderstanding of audience segmentationProject Management experienceAbility to collaborate, establish relationships and manage initiatives across multiple teamsExperience in managing social collaboration communities (Yammer), SharePoint and intranetExperience in overseeing and producing emails, social collaboration posts, digital signage, print materials, and other communication art works and design collaterals.Familiarity with mass mailing platforms (SalesForce)Basic knowledge of Canva and IllustratorBasic knowledge of video productionExperience in basic HTML and CSS (webpages, intranet pages, email templates, etc.) preferredAmenable to work in a Hybrid work set-up
