Head of Product

Satellite Teams is searching for Head of Product who can align the company’s product strategy with the overall business strategy. This person will serve as a key conduit between the internal and external customers and the software development team. This person ensures that the company’s platform meets the needs of its customers. He/She will proactively communicate with customers to get feedback, analyze information needs, as well as functional requirements and deliver the following:

Use Cases, Business Requirements documentation, and Screen and Interface Design.

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Understand the company’s business needs

● Oversee the development and management of the company’s products based on a strategic roadmap

● Collaborate with software developers and subject matter experts to establish business requirements for platform enhancements

● Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules or potential problems

● Guide software development projects

● Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.

● Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.

● Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.

● Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or deliver dates.

● Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

● 5+ yrs working experience as a Product Development Lead in the field of software, eCommerce, marketing or product management

● Knowledge required and experience preferred with the full Software Development Cycle, QA, and Project Management

●  Strong background in requirements gathering and document development

●  Ability to manage smaller multiple projects concurrently

●  Ability to lead a team and thrive in a fast paced environment

● Good attention to detail and strong organization skills

● Strong analytical, strategic and coordinating skills

● Ability to solve problems and implement solutions

● Working knowledge of: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
