Position:
The Training & Development Specialist is responsible for the knowledge and skill development of all employees of the Clinical Review Department at the Manila Operations Center. The successful candidate will be working closely with the Professional Development Manager in designing and conducting training programs that will boost employees’ workplace performance. The successful candidate will be part of the Clinical Review Professional Development team and will collaborate with the entire Clinical Review Operations and Human Resources team in the assessment of training and coaching needs as well as the planning, execution, and evaluation of all training-related activities.
Core Responsibilities:
Assists in assessing the training/coaching needs on a project by project basis and assist in developing training curriculums; implementing training-related processesDevelops professional expertise and applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues; develops training materials and facilitates training sessionsAnalyzes learning and performance trends and develops an action plan to address learning gaps and improve delivery of trainingRemains current on medical coding and billing guidelines and auditing protocols and performs data entry of charts (coding and/or abstraction) as required by the business Participates in testing and training as required by the Company as well as New Hire Orientation for new employeesRequirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field, requiredActive Philippine nursing license, requiredCoding certification of any of the following, required: CPC, CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H, CRC, CRN-C, CPMA, CIC, COCExcellent knowledge of medical records;Strong written and oral communication skills;Knowledge of multi-specialty physician practices and academic settings;Knowledge of different training strategies/methodologies for adult learningPreferred Qualifications:
At least two years’ experience as a medical coder (ICD, CPT, E/M, etc.) and HEDIS abstractor with excellent performance is preferredExtensive knowledge of medical billing and payment methodologies, including coding guidelines for ICD-9-CM and ICD-10-CM (demonstrated understanding of CMS HCC Risk Adjustment coding and data validation requirements preferred);Experience in training is preferred and excellent training facilitation skills preferredExperience in project management is preferredFeeling Inspired?
