JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for overseeing the entire operations of Electroplating (EPL) Section. Ensure its efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Managerial Tasks

·      Manage the overall operations of EPL Section to ensure smooth running of all production lines including the Laboratory and Waste Water.

·      Determine and monitor the Sectional Management Policy based on the approved Departmental and Company Policies.

·      Follow the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) in attaining the set goals based on the Sectional Management Policy.

·      Ensure output meet the quality standards.

·      Monitor production and resolve issues including decision-making.

·      Coordinate accordingly with concerned sections.

·      Supervise and evaluate the performance of EPL personnel.

·      Monitor and control the cost of the section based on allocated budget.

·      Performs official tasks assigned from time to time by the superiors.  

·      STOP, CALL & WAIT – the process whenever there is a quality problem and other criteria that

might fall to non-conformance in customer requirements. Ensures the affected batch must be contained and shipment to the customer prevented.

     Subordinates 

·      Allocation of manpower accordingly.

·      Enforce health and safety precautions among subordinates.

·      Guide subordinates in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

·      Assist in resolving complex operation problems.

·      Identify training needs and progress of their career development.

·      Implement employee discipline as needed.

·      Establish employee’s goal and conduct performance reviews.

      Communication

·      Communicates effectively within organization.

·      Practices and maintains high level of professionalism and business ethics.

·      Provides all necessary information to its section.

·      

Schedules and conducts section meetings, and cross-functional meetings as necessary. 

·      Attend company meetings and training required.

JOB SPECIFICATION

       Education and Experience         

·      Graduate of any Engineering course.

·      At least five (5) years supervisory or managerial experience in manufacturing.

       Competencies and Knowledge

·      Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.

·      With strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels in the company.

·      With good organizational leadership; listening and speaking skills.

·      Competency in planning & organizing, decision-making, flexibility and self-initiative.

·      With know-how in basic computer applications.

·      Able to work under pressure.

       Working Condition 

·      Works longer or extended hours when meeting deadlines are required. 

·      Shall be on-call especially during emergencies, staying until the situation is under control.
