Job Responsibilities

Read the endorsement at the DM’s Endorsement folder.Check the manpower availability in all departments. Ensure visibility of all duty personnel. Check/ follow up their work to be done when applicable.Be visible in the lobby especially if there are functions so that assistance to guests can be extended at once when needed.Check if all the requirements for the scheduled function for the day are ready before the function starts. Verify if the Banquet Coordinator or the Capt. Waiter were done with the Banquet checklist so as to ensure completeness of requirements in the functionCheck the lobby postingCheck if the set-up are all ready one (1) hour before the functionCheck if all Aircon units and all lightings are functioningCheck the food if ready (you can ask a plate set-up of food for tasting)Check the public comfort rooms for its cleanliness and completeness of supplies like tissue, etc.Check the over-all cleanliness of function roomsCheck the availability of parking areas assigned for the functionCheck the visibility of Roving GuardMonitor the function from time to timeCheck for the actual count of function attendees after the function and the guest’s commentsConducts room inspection. Inspect at least 5 rooms declared as room ready; ascertain that these rooms are clean, have complete set-up of amenities; and all lights and all appliances and equipment are working well (TV, a/c, ref, etc.)Check occupancy status, see to it that all rooms are ready for sale. If there’s any out of order rooms, find out if it can be release for sale. Ensure maximum hotel occupancy.Observe Enercon Programs. See to it that lights are minimized or off when not in use, air-conditioning are off in the offices when not in use.Make rounds at the back and front area of the hotel. Make sure that garbage areas at the back are clean and no foul smell. Parking lot at front are in order and no obstruction.Inspect hotel perimeter, starting from the higher floor (floor to floor) down to the lobby, offices, restaurant, bar, function rooms, comfort rooms for guest’s or function use.When making rounds, always inform reception of your whereabouts for easy access and communication.Make your final rounds (same as no. 8)Communicate important matter to the General Manager either thru text message or by making a call when the need arises.Check breakfast set-up and ensure that before 6 am, buffet is ready.Log significant activities that transpired during your duty in the DM’s logbook. Note down your findings so that proper rectification can be done if any. Make endorsement at the end of your shift to the incoming Duty Manager or to the GM.
