Inventory and Pricing Management
Manage & review incoming items from pending orders to incoming listCreate and place orders for stocked item (as provided by product managers) as well as for order fulfilmentManage the availability / ETA for stock by regularly checking with suppliersPlan and manage stock deliveries with warehouse department to ensure there is adequate space and they are ready to receive the stock.Manage pricing for demo stock or not new items going back into stock from warranty/supplier within set guidelinesLiaise with product managers for issues / long delays with obtaining inventoryLiaise with product managers for pricing issues with inventoryOrganize to return consignment / no sale return stock back to suppliers as per the requirements of product managersSales Support
Support sales department with ETA & delivery information for quotes, orders & inquiriesProvide solutions or alternative product options for delayed / long eta inventorySupport product managers with adding new products when necessaryAttending vendor functions or training nights whenever possibleSupplier Management
Negotiate pricing with suppliers for inventory (eg. where product manager has not, such as order only items that are not regularly ordered or special order items that may not be usually sold or stocked)Follow up with suppliers on any overdue items that have not arrivedFollow up regularly with suppliers on long/no ETA inventory for updates or alternativesFollow up and resolve any incorrectly supplied / damaged / oversupplied itemsProcessing of supplier invoices for received stock, verifying items and costs. To be done in a timely manner and passed onto the Accounts department for final processing.Provide warehouse department with daily pickup list for stock collection from suppliers using our van(s)Reporting/Other
Create monthly reports to provide logistics / supplier performance details. Highlight any logistics issues or problem with suppliers that may need to be addressed.Create weekly reports for No ETA / long or reoccurring delayed items and provide to product managersWork to achieve Product Manager’s KPI’s per quarter for Profit, Sales & Stock on hand (via stock fulfilment).Check and respond to emails from staff and suppliers. Maintain own mailbox as well as general purchasing mailbox.Duties may be varied from time to time consistent with training and skills to meet business needsProduct Planning
Assist Product Managers with monitoring run rate of specific brands / categoryCreate forecasts for specific brands / categoryMonitoring of stocked items at various locationsReview stocked item requests from store managerMonitor market pricing for specific brands / categoryMonitor stock health for specific brands / categoryProvide phase in notices for new brands / products to sales & marketing teams Sales SupportSupport sales department with ETA & delivery information for quotes, orders & inquiriesProvide solutions or alternative product options for delayed / long eta inventorySupport product managers with adding new products when necessaryAttending vendor functions or training nights whenever possibleCreate products codes in system for new productsWhat you’ll bring in:
