Role Purpose:
Health, Safety, Security and Enviro
nmental (HSSE) Managers are respo
nsible for developing and implementing organizatio
nal safety programs.Reviews and update institutio
nal HSSE policies and co
nduct risk assessments to detect potential hazards and plan precautio
nary measures.
Key Accountabilities:
Assist, support, and mo
nitor the implementation of the HSSE strategy in the organizatio
nEnsure that the workplace is mo
nitored and is fully in compliance with all applicable OSHA standards, rules and regulations in order to maintain safety in offices and work sites.Ensure that Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are maintained, and communicated to employees and associates.Ensure the results of safety inspections are docu
mented; mo
nitoring the investigation of accidents and injuries; ensuring that corrective actions are taken; and providing recommendations for ways to prevent similar accidents.To highlight areas wher
e training/certification is required to meet the standards imposed by Legislation, Approved Codes of Practice, or H.S.E. guidance.Ensure that an adequate program of training for health and safety is established and that the safety culture is encouraged amo
ngst employees.Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and to bring to the attention of the Management, any relevant new legislation.Ensure that all “assessments” as required by legislation are co
nducted and reviewed at relevant intervals and to maintain records of the same.Recommend co
ntrol measures and advise on the standard of P.P.E. issued to employees.Co
nduct health and safety inspections and prepare reports of all the company’s operations.Carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents and to record the findings on the relevant forms.Perform other related duties as required, and assigned by the Deputy COO and/or the Business Operations Head.To participate in projects and working parties, or to carry out any other duties that may be outside the standard department, that will benefit the individual, the division or the Company as a whole.Gather relevant market, competitor and customer information in order to support perso

Job Requirements:
EducationA bachelor’s degree in a health, safety, or enviro
nmental field of study.ExperienceAt least 16-20 years of proven experience in Health, Safety, Security, Enviro
nment and Quality Practitio
nerHas the necessary and/or required certifications such as NEBOSH, OHS Practitioner, IOSHExperience working in an emergency respo
nse operations in a local/ internatio
nal organization, government and/or private sector, desirable.
