Qualifications:
Graduate of any 4-year course with 2 years of relevant experience in comprehensive workplace safety and compliance programs
With Safety Officer 2 (SO2) certificate
With COSH (Construction Occupational Safety & Health) and LCM (Loss Control Management) trainings
With valid driver’s license
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Good problem-solving and time management skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Proficient in all Microsoft applications
Duties & Responsibilities:
Advises the management on safety issues as well as developing health and safety policies and procedures.
Monitors and controls safety and compliance in the organization as per the law and the organization's policy.
Carries out safety inspections and internal audits and reports to management with suggestions.
Ensures preventive measures, administrative control, and personal protective equipment are implemented and used.
Investigates and reports accidents and near misses.
Keeps records of all safety events, training, and drills.
Conducts toolbox meetings or regular staff meetings to share best practice techniques.
Implements and maintains health and safety standards.
Ensures timely and accurate submission of reports to DOLE and other regulating bodies in coordination with the immediate superior.
Helps in the health and safety training programs such as fire prevention trainings and drills, first aid training, periodic health and safety awareness, etc.
