Sustainability Engineer

Job Responsibility:

·      Undertake IES thermal modelling for the sustainability team relating to CIBSE

·      Willing to support wide ranging sustainability appointments under the RIBA Green overlay framework

·      Issuing of RFIs, reports, calculations, technical reports, presentations, method statements and action lists.

·      Carry out independent reading and research to support the sustainability team on specialist topics

·      Assisting with BREEAM/LEED/WELL/NABERS/RIBA Green overlay related bid and tender preparation and co-ordination

·      Flexibility to assist our engineers in meeting business/project deadlines

Skills and Knowledge:

·      Good technical knowledge of sustainability in the built environment

·      An interest in & knowledge on the IES modelling required for: LEED, WELL, BREEAM, NABERs, EPC ratings, planning applications etc.

·      3 years’ experience delivering IES models

·      Knowledge of SAP (desirable)

·      IES software to model geometry building, HVAC systems and model outputs

·      General understanding of Building Services design and engineering terms

·      High quality report writing skills

·      Flexibility - to meet deadlines (and know when to push them back)

·      Good knowledge of excel (essential) and word/outlook (desirable)

·      Good knowledge of working online remotely from home using Zoom/Teams/Google Docs etc.

·      Good knowledge of MS office applications including PowerPoint

·      Background in consulting or construction preferred.

·      Understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy.
