I. GENERAL PURPOSE Under the direct supervision of the Branch Head, the CL Account Officer is responsible for soliciting potential clients, account management, loan disbursements and ensuring a healthy portfolio, prompt and accurate lending decisions while identifying additional customer benefit needs; and is also responsible for the preparation of regular reports pertinent to CL Portfolio account management as well as timely submission of reportorial requirements to Credit Dept. II. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES a. Sales & Marketing 1 Solicits and interviews potential new clients and existing clients fit for the Consumer Loan Product of the Bank.2 Sets appointment with institutions/schools for the product presentation together with the Branch Head.3 Conducts initial CIBI to loan applicants who pass the eligibility criteria set by the management. 4 Performs verification procedures pertinent to credit initiation and documentation.5 Endorses and forwards accomplished loan applications and interview sheets along with initial documentary requirements for processing by the Credit Administration Assistant.6 Collects and ensures the authenticity of all documentary requirements needed for credit application and evaluation as per Standard Checklist of documentary Requirements for CL.7 Creates opportunities to cross-sell other bank products and services.8 Submits reports prescribed by Management to immediate head for purposes of performance monitoring and compliance.9 Provides assistance to Branch Heads especially in attending clients’ concerns about queries on different loan product of CL and its features.10 Supports the Branch Head in his/her promotional campaign in soliciting new clientele and help them in building long-term business partnership.11 Conducts product orientation of Consumer Loan (CL) products to division offices, schools, government offices and other type of institutions or organizations whose employees may qualify for the existing consumer loan products of the Bank. b. Account Management 1. Regularly monitors loan disbursements and client’s repayment behavior through the Webloan System or reports provided by the support departments or units to aid in monitoring loan maturities, account delinquencies, due dates, and other important loan records as basis for a sound credit decision.2. Proactively undertakes client calls to ensure full payment of loan accounts by clients.3. Delivers signed Collection Notices generated from the Collection Notice Registry to clients with missed loan payments and submits received copies to the Credit Administration Assistant for credit folder filing. 4. Submits prescribed reports to immediate head such as but not limited to monthly Past Due accounts work-out plan which as subsequently submitted to LAU Manager and Credit Head as basis of the approval of the exception requests.5. Submits to RPSU, Division or Empowered Schools and other institutions (as applicable) billing reports no later than set deadline or schedule of billing (e.g. 30th day of the month); forwards to Credit’s billing in-charge the received copy of billing reports from RPSU, Division or Empowered Schools.6. Submits to concerned Schools or Division Offices or any applicable institution copies of the Billing documents within ten (10) days after submission of the billing to DepEd no later than 10th day of the following month or as per prescribed deadlines. 7. Performs borrower assessment and encodes reports or information into the Bank’s appropriate platform or database; forwards assessment report to CAA for filing in the credit folder.8. Recommends to immediate head escalation of delinquent accounts to Asset Recovery Department and complies pertinent supporting documents. 9. Monitors payroll and remittance schedule every month to ensure that billings are 100% collected and remitted. 10. Gathers requirements for insurance claims for deceased borrowers and submits complete documents to Credit’s Insurance in-charge. c. Other Functions1. Handles customer queries and complaints and take appropriate actions to address them.2. Performs other tasks that may be assigned by immediate head from time to time.3. As applicable or deemed necessary, may act as alternate custodian of combination numbers for vaults and branch doors, codes or passwords of the security alarm or devices, by virtue of a designation memo.
