Job Description

Position Summary:

The principal focus of this position is to provide accounting support for US financial services firm that provides accounting and financial services to startup and high-growth organizations.The successful candidate must have demonstrated relevant experience in using QuickBooks online and has a strong background in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payables as well as month-end closing activities.

Position Responsibilities:

1. General Bookkeeping activities (AJE’s, bank and credit card reconciliation, month-end closing, etc.)

2. Accounts Payable

● Accurate entry in bill.com and tracking of items in ERP Systems

● AP aging and analysis and vendor reconciliation

3. Accounts Receivable

● Accurate entry and tracking of items in various ERP Systems

● Applying payments to QuickBooks

● AR aging and analysis

4. Communicating with clients and team members through various tools (chat, email, and teleconference, as needed).

5. Month end closing activities

● Bank and credit card reconciliations

● Fixed asset and prepaid tools

6. Capable of identifying account deviations and proactive in presenting solutions.

7. Work with the team to ensure compliance with all data-privacy or data security of client-sensitive information. This includes policies governing client transactions and local (host country’s) relevant laws.

8. Help promote and support a culture of professionalism and integrity with clients and colleagues.

9. Be able and willing to provide feedback and insights for process improvements.

10. Participate with Employee Engagement activities that would promote the welfare and positive atmosphere for the team.

11. An openness to performing Ad-hoc tasks which may be assigned by either the client or immediate supervisor / manager.

12. Must have existing access to internet services at home. A company computer and internet/power allowance will be provided while you are on a temporary WFH Status.

Required Basic Skills:

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

● Functional familiarity with QuickBooks, Xero, Bill.com

● Very Strong AP experience.

● Must have experience and be very comfortable using Microsoft Office Excel or Google Sheets.

● Tax experience is a plus but not mandatory.

● Experience in Netsuite is a plus but is not required.

● Experience with Small and Medium Sized Business is a plus.

● Working experience from the “Big 4” is a plus, but not required.

● Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.

● Organized, detail-oriented, and quality-focused

Position Selection Criteria

Personal Competencies:

■ Bachelor’s Degree Holder in Accounting or Finance, CPA Highly Preferred

■ With at least 3 years of relevant accounting experience

■ Willingness to learn and adapt to the account’s processes

■ Should have that “Will to go the extra mile” attitude

■ Demonstrated ability to be a “Team Player”

■ Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision

■ Self-motivated and able to meet tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy

■ Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure
