Position Description
Members of our Proxy Paper research teams will analyze company filings and recent news events at North American companies, summarize annual meeting proposals, and assist in providing voting recommendations to our clients. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about corporate structure and shareholder rights, to research publicly traded companies, including their boards of directors and executives, and to work at the forefront of the emerging field of corporate governance.
Our teams work in tandem to analyze SEC documents, focusing on issues relating to the board of directors, shareholder rights and executive pay packages. Our analysis and research-based recommendations are closely followed by shareholders, national news organizations, and leading scholars in the fields of corporate governance and executive compensation. This position will hone skills in holistic analysis, rapid data analysis and input, and applying policy guidelines to a diverse range of cases. This will be a particularly valuable experience for those wishing to pursue careers or graduate study in business, law, public policy, or financial services, among others.
Candidates will be considered for temporary project-based fix-term contracts (however depending on skill level and experience, permanent Senior Research Associate contracts may be offered), based in our Makati office, with the opportunity for hybrid-remote working arrangements. Candidates demonstrating exceptional performance in this role will be considered for promotion following the close of 2023 Proxy Season. Incoming Research Associates will receive comprehensive training on our firm's methods and standards of research. We have multiple employment start dates beginning early January 2023, and all positions are expected to continue through late May or mid-June 2023. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Highly motivated candidates are encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible.
