This is a great opportunity to be a part of the APAC Finance Advisory Center (FAC). The FAC is a joint initiative between Finance and Global Delivery Services (GDS) to deliver high value finance advisory roles spanning the Planning, Budgeting and Finance Analysis (PBFA), Markets Finance and Controlling functions. You will be leading the Core Business Services (CBS) Finance function and this will be part of the Controlling domain.
The opportunity
As the APAC Controlling – Associate, you will be part of a high performing team that acts as trusted finance advisors supporting the Area / region Finance leadership on varied analytical matters related to the operational results. This role actively participates in the data gathering, report compilations and aiding in analytical reviews on monthly and periodic financial numbers. Involvement in ad-hoc projects and business initiatives will be a part of the role too.
Your key responsibilities
• Prepare monthly management reports and provide revenue and cost analysis.
• Perform and coordinate various budget and forecast exercises, support the translation of business projections into meaningful figures, including data processing, modeling and reporting
• Support the team lead with the day-to-day management of the inventory, including billing and collection management, WIP and debtor aging analysis, and alert respective leaders for any potential credit risks
• Supervise and review deliverables organized by junior financial analyst and provide technical support, knowledge and counsel to others within the finance discipline
• Assist in month-end close process
• Execute ad-hoc analysis and data mining projects as needed by leaders
Skills and attributes for success
We are interested in people with a very positive attitude and a penchant for constant learning. As a successful candidate you will have relevant functional experience managing activities in the PBFA domain and hands-on experience on technical tools like MS Office as well as ERP applications like Peoplesoft, SAP etc.
To qualify for the role, you must have
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting or equivalent.
• Membership of accredited professional accounting bodies (CPA / ACCA / CIMA etc.) is desirable.
• Minimum of 2 years’ of experience in finance related roles (mainly Financial Planning & Analysis)
