We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Manager- Trade Surveillance (Quezon City)

Principal responsibilities
·The Global Banking and Markets (GB&M) Offshore Compliance team supports compliance officers across the GB&M businesses in carrying out key compliance monitoring, advisory and support activities.
·The purpose is to undertake Trade Surveillance in a timely manner thus ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
·The role will add additional structure and governance to this already controlled framework. The incumbent will be required to act as a point of central coordination globally. Having oversight for time critical and sensitive issues.
·Overall, the incumbent will provide guidance / supervision and accountability for the day-to-day offshore activities.
·The incumbent will be given a degree of autonomy and will be expected to draw conclusions from his/her or the team’s analysis and make appropriate recommendations to the Compliance Senior Management and GB&M business in order to rectify issues identified. The incumbent will be required to keep abreast of industry and regulatory changes.
Requirements
·Experience in Mornitoring and Surveillance or related environment is preferred.
· A good knowledge in Excel with ability to use macros to help solve non-standard problems.
·An interest in systems and applying them to the analysis of both large amounts and different types of data.
·Research, analysis, report writing, process improvement, project management.
·Knowledge of systems such as NICE, Actimize, Bloomberg, is desirable but not essential.
· Graduate level candidate with experience in an internal audit or compliance environment is preferable (but not essential).
· An interest, and knowledge, of financial markets, various asset classes and regulation is required.
·Excellent system skills as the role includes a requirement to undertake complex behavior analysis derived from various data sources.
·Ability to support decisions with sound reasoning and clearly articulate business and regulatory implications of the analysis and findings.
· Ability to work under pressure and within tight time-lines.
·Excellent time management and prioritization of work task.
· Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills.
·Utilises own initiative to resolve issues.
· Need to be flexible to work in shifts.
