SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Corporate Affairs Officer/ Data Privacy Officer is responsible to ensure that the Company is in full regulatory compliance with all relevant laws, rules and/or regulations imposed by the concerned government agencies.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Shall represent the corporation’s data privacy officer.
2. Files and monitors all trademark/trade name applications with Intellectual Property Office;
3. Reviews and performs legal assessment of assigned contracts, draft, agreements, and other legal documents;
4. Processes documentation (CTBS and DOAS)
5. Cancellation Process
a. Prepares/facilitates the cancellation and forfeiture proceedings in relation to the cancelled sales accounts, including the drafting of the cancellation Notices, Waivers and Quitclaims, and such other papers and/or documents necessary for said cancellation and forfeiture;
6. Handles counsel for PM legal and operational concerns;
7. Facilitates all legal documentation of the Company regarding matters affecting the Company and/or Department;
8. Closely coordinates with the CAD Head as regards to all other functions of the Department;
9. Prepares such other papers and/or documents, including drafting letters, notices and replies, among others, as may be endorsed by the different departments of the Company;
10. Reviews, revises, or drafts, if necessary, different contracts, memoranda, agreement, among others, as may be endorsed by the different departments of the Company;
11. Conducts legal research whenever necessary, to ensure the Company’s compliance with relevant laws and regulations;
12. Prepares the necessary inquiry, application and submission to relevant governmental and non-governmental authorities as regards to licensing requirements and corporate governance issue/s of the Company and inform the CAD Head of matters relative thereto;
13. Submits monthly reports to the CAD Head regarding accomplished compliance and legal requirements as well as deadlines of requirements for the month;
14. Assists CAD Head in other legal and/or operational matters affecting the Department;
15. Performs related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a Lawyer with above average ratings;Must have at least 1 - 2 years relevant work experience preferably with data privacy law experienceWith background in co
ntract review, IPO, and litigation.
