GIS Associate

1.        Updating and/or creating all maps associated with GigaAce8 Development and Transmission Line Projects (Palauig to Botolan and Palauig – San Marcelino Project)

2.        Learn applicable regulatory requirements to ensure that maps meet the needs and demands by the company.

3.        Ensures collection of government documents such as Tax Declaration, Tax Map, Cadastral Map, Title, and other relevant maps are consistent with the Transmission Line Route.

4.        Endorse the correctness or validity of the collected document and the transmission line path through a correspondence of data.

5.        Do fieldwork activities for ground verification, establishment of networks, and manpower-support for the project 

I. DUTIES 

1.      Encoding attributes for all the potential areas for Energy Development Projects in Zambales such as but not limited to Biomass, Diesel, Solar, Wind, and Storage and Transmission Line (TL).

2.      Coordinates with the VP – TL, Senior Manager, and Designated Associates and officers regarding the identification and evaluation of areas for development for timely production of result and maps;

3.      Supports GIS Associate in creation of a monitoring system for Transmission Line in Zambales development zones

4.      Digitization of necessary analog maps;

5.      Encoding and plotting of cadastral maps, verifying it through instrument, and recommendation of the data for GIS Team’s evaluation of all lots along the Transmission Line.

6.      Identification and re-digitization of road networks of all project-sites if required

7.      Download and upload of GPS’s files for processing;

8.      Data processing of the output track and waypoints;

9.      Preparation of the maps for securing site application;

10.  Creates weekly report progress monitoring for the mapping projects especially on the TL

11.  Perform other duties essential for the promotion and attainment of the company’s objectives. 

II. QUALIFICATIONS 

A.     Must:

1.        Have a degree in Agriculture, Forestry, Geodetic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology and related fields.

2.        With at least 3 years mapping and database experience.

3.        Have basic skills in using ArcGIS 9.3 or higher, QGIS, MapInfo, Global Mapper, and other GIS software.

4.        Proficient in English written and oral.

5.        Must be willing to work or be relocated in Palauig Zambales 

B.        Wants:

1.        Database experience and programming of such databases is an asset.

2.        Thorough knowledge of Philippine geography and cadaster.

3.        Having knowledge in AutoCAD is an advantage

4.        With Driver’s License of at least Restriction 1 & 2 is an advantage
