职位描述
A medical virtual assistant works closely with medical professionals or health insurance companies to ensure that the best interests of the healthcare provider, patient, and medical establishment are met.
TASKS
Managing inbound and outbound calls to and from patients, providers, and healthcare insurance companies regarding inquiries, appointments, and data verification (maintains great phone etiquette)Obtaining medical history; Navigating through different EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as “Cerner, Epic, AthenaNet/AthenaHealth, NextGen”Verifying the healthcare insurance coverage and eligibilityProviding administrative support which includes (data entry, appointment scheduling, email management, record management, and time-keeping)In charge of health promotion, explaining care plans, admissions, new patient intake, and front-desk triageEstablishing a professional relationship with medical professionals and patients; Acts as a primary liaison between patients and providersStrict adherence and compliance with the HIPAA policyQUALIFICATIONS
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written proficiency)Demonstrates excellent time management, strong attention to detail, accuracy, impartiality, organization, and computer competencesAt least 1-2 years of experience in a medical-related background or account; work experience with US medical insurance companies (United Health Group, Centene, WellCare, Anthem (Blue Cross, Blue Shield), Humana, Medicaid, Kaiser Permanente, etc.)Intermediate skills with Gsuite and/or Microsoft OfficeFamiliar with Medical TerminologiesA healthcare-related degree is (highly preferred)A professional license in nursing, health, or behavioral sciences is (highly preferred)Must have a working USB type headset (wireless and mobile phone headsets are not allowed)HIPAA Certification is a plusSYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
