We are looking for a Community Engagement Officer, that will primarily focus on community preparation and organization activities; and, creating strategic linkages for conservation action at government-level. Activities involve the following:
1. Spearhead preparation and education/awareness activities surrounding values formation, conservation and heritage for residents, government institutions, and youth of target communities
2. Manage linkages and relationships at the local level for communities and government units (Barangay, Law Enforcement Institutions, and Local Government Unit)
3. Lead campaigning initiatives at the local and community level in support of conservation and the strategic goals of the organization
4. Create, coordinate and manage volunteer and external activities/initiatives to push for the protection of Masungi Georeserve's reforestation sites
5. Where possible, spearhead the conceptualization, coordination and implementation of livelihood and enterprise development initiatives (may span agricultural produce, home-based items and crafts, employment) for the nearby communities/barangay

Note: The role is primarily based in the georeserve in Baras, Rizal (1.5 hours from the city) from Tuesday to Saturday. Modest quarters on-site are available by request.
Masungi Georeserve is an award-winning conservation project and a rustic rock garden at Km. 47 of Marcos Highway at Baras, Rizal. We implement a geotourism model to sustain conservation efforts to conserve limestone formations, plants and animals at Masungi.
