JOB PURPOSEThe Pharmacy Specialist primary role is to provide specialize Pharmacy services in store which includes the following:• As a roving pharmacist assigned to stores with no Pharmacist on duty.• To provide specialized services and support to support Drugstore Activities such as Vaccine/Immunization Programs, LK, diagnostic lab assistance, Pharmacist Trainer for newly open branches.• To conduct informal audit to store on FDA compliance and provide recommendations.SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES● Act as store pharmacist of the assigned branch.● Help and assist the store where she is assigned to with regards to their operation.● Do patient counseling and suggestive selling to boost their sales.● Assist the store in receiving and checking their delivery.● Assist in any store activity if they need the assistance of a pharmacist.● Submit summary report of all the activities done as Pharmacist reliever of the store.● Submit TOWS analysis, observations and recommendation to stores that were assigned.● Act as Pharmacist trainer in case there is no store to relieve.● Other tasks that may be required by the organization.● Providing drugs to the patients and counseling visitors.● Dispenses medications following prescriptions issued by an authorized medical practitioner.● Reviews prescriptions for appropriateness of therapy to determine ingredients needed and to ensure correct dosage.● Update Pharmacy Prescription Record while deployed in store.● Provide turn over documentation and endorsement once deployment to store ends.● Inventories, orders, and maintains supply of drugs, chemicals, and other pharmaceutical stock.● Advises patients and care providers of potential drug interactions, possible side effects, storage information, and instructions on how to use medications.SPECIALIZED TASKS● Assist the Internships Orientations.● Partner with HR on School tie-ups and conduct seminars to different universities.● Partner with HR in creating/updating internship programs and other training programs for existing Pharmacists.● Create training module on duties and responsibilities of Community Pharmacist and train new Pharmacist of new stores and conduct refresher training if necessary.● Spot Check Stores on compliance to FDA regulations/inspection checklist and provide recommendation on compliance.● Update Store SOPs based on current audit findings, store practices and FDA regulations.● Will undergo special training (Immunizing Pharmacist Training) - to support scheduled immunizing activities of store● To support store activities as needed LK/ Diagnostic Lab.KEY APTITUDES● Quality of counseling to customers regarding the proper use of medicines, ability to gain their trust and sympathy by establishing a professional yet friendly and caring relationship with them. ● Management of the sales personnel, especially the capacity to motivate them to perform well, enhances their technical knowledge on medicines and their capacity to provide counseling to customers.● Quality and frequency of recommendations and suggestions to improve store operations in various fields, especially on the following areas:⮚ Store organization and manpower requirements⮚ Compliance to FDA regulation⮚ Store daily operations (Patient counseling, inventory management,⮚ Establish a culture of honesty, service, performance, professionalism and teamwork among the store employees, and other areas.● Ensure compliance of the drug store with all regulatory requirements set by FDA and/other technical authorities.JOB SPECIFICATION● Bachelor's degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy and completion of a Pharmacy internship.● Licensed Registered Pharmacist.● Certified Immunizing Pharmacist - if not we may need to include the training on her contractExperience● At least 2 years of working experience in Community Pharmacy Setting.● Background in conducting training.● Certified Immunizing Pharmacist – is a plus but not mandatory as we will need to build this capability● Knowledgeable on FDA Drugstore compliance and experience in conducting store audits.Mental Effort● Knowledge of principles of specialized science directly related to pharmacy.● Knowledge of chemical, biological, and comparative therapeutic properties of a wide range of drugs.● Knowledgeable on FDA drugstore regulations.Physical Effort● Inventory and Display⮚ Supervise the display. Make sure that stocks are well organized and displayed and disbursed according to expiry date.⮚ Monitor drugs close to expiry.⮚ Supervise inventory counts as needed.⮚ Identify fast moving items, low performing items, new items to carry.● Willing to be deployed in any location in the Philippines● Support immunization programs and other store plus services
