Purpose of the position:
Under the general direction of the DM – RD Technical Director, the holder of this position will be responsible for establishment of information management database for tracking 4UN grants acquisitions related to the GHR response. The role will work closely with the DM – Resource Development (RD) and Information Management and Reporting (IMR) teams, and Global Hunger Response (GHR) Coordination team to collect the grants acquisition data from different WV platforms and systems and package it in a manner that will facilitate detailed data analysis. The role will also conduct detailed data analysis (inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modelling data) for purposes of data mining (statistical modelling and knowledge discovery) and business intelligence (aggregation for business information) on behalf of of the DM and GHR Coordination Teams, and other internal stakeholder.
The holder of the position will be required to prepare and submit accurate and timely reports to the GHR coordination team monthly and /or on request.

DATA VALIDATION, QUALITY ConTROL AND ANALYSIS
Collect and capture the new 4UN grant acquisitions, addendums and amendments related to GHR from different WV platforms and systems.Perform data validation, implement quality co
ntrol and package the data in a manner that will facilitate detailed statistical analysis and accurate reporting. Co
nduct detailed data analysis (inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modelling data) for purposes of data mining (statistical modelling and knowledge discovery) and business intelligence (aggregation for business information) on behalf of the DM and GHR Coordination Teams, and other internal stakeholders.
ACCURATE AND TIMELY REPORTING
Generate accurate and timely analysis and management reports to inform DM, GHR Coordination team and other internal stakeholders’ decision-making.
COORDINATION
Actively participate in GHR coordination team meetings.Support RD STAs and FOs to trouble shoot on issue related to 4UN grants acquisitions.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in Statistics, or Accounting or Information technology.Experience in grants and/or food assistance programming with various donors, particularly WFP and USAID is an added advantage.Technical training and in databa
se management is an added advantage.Technical training on data analytics and/or qualifications mo
nitoring & e
valuation is an added advantage.Good communication skills - ability to communicate effectively (in English) with individuals and represent DM – RD in verbal and written forms.Good analytics and writing skills.Ability to manage and track a wide range of activities and prioritization skills.Ability to obtain, organize and analyse data in various formats.Ability to identify gaps, trends, priorities and key issues.Ability to interpret and make sense out of analysed data sets.
